Life
The short version is that I met or exceeded all of my personal goals, both in financial success and relative fame. If you google for "Randal Schwartz", you'll see what I mean. :)
School
Having been able to skip second and third grade, and half of my senior year, it was an interesting experience, but I'm happy that it's long past. Never took a girl to a dance, or even had a kiss while I was in school. However, I made up for lost time after high school. :)
College
Never went to college... no time for that, since I started working right out of high school. I have *taught...Expand for more
* grad school though. Love it when people call me "Professor Schwartz", even though I've never taken a class. :)
Workplace
Worked for Tek for five years, then a couple of startups, then started my own company (Stonehenge) over 20 years ago. Became "Just another Perl hacker", helping to bring the Internet to the common folk by writing more words and training more folks in Perl than nearly anyone else. Now looking at Dart and Flutter as the next big thing.
Military
Nope. None of that. I don't think I could raise a weapon against my fellow man, regardless of what he believed.
